Photographic Copyright & Legal Rights
All images reproduced on Lower Block and any of its social channels have been professionally sourced, licensed or used with the permission and full agreement of the copyright holder. This applies to all formats of reproduction, whether in print form or digitally.
As stipulated in UK law, copyright belongs to the photographer, or their legal representative / agent who has been granted syndication rights.
This applies to all photographs used on Lower Block, its social channels and all formats of reproduction, whether in print form or digitally.
Under UK law, no such rights belong to the subject matter of any said photograph unless specified in a prior written agreement. Any licensing concession must also be previously agreed in writing.
Under UK law it is not illegal to take photographs of any subject matter from or in a public place where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy and for those photographs to be reproduced for journalistic or editorial purposes.
The photographs used on Lower Block, its social channels, or reproduced in any digital or printed format are a true and fair representation of their subject matter, the intention being to form part of a historical and social record.
They are published either in an editorial format online, in limited run printed photo zines / journals or as individual prints.
All work created or published by Lower Block is purely for editorial purposes, illustrating or documenting an event or subject. Lower Block is committed to presenting a fair and balanced representation of the reality around football culture. There is no intention of causing harm, distress, damage or to defame any individual, or collective, featured in any associated Lower Block publication, whether in print or online.
Lower Block is committed to helping support and celebrate photography and photojournalism, at the same time protecting the copyright of a photographer’s work and supporting their legal right to produce editorial content.
Every endeavour is made to ensure all work featured in or by Lower Block fulfils all moral and legal aspects of copyright and adheres to the strict publishing guidelines outlined by UK law.
