In a nostalgic nod to classic style and craftsmanship, Adidas Originals and the esteemed Montreal-based design studio, JJJJound, join forces to revive an icon of footwear culture – the Samba. This March, the collaborative partnership debuts with a collection that celebrates heritage, quality, and the artistry behind every stitch.
Founded by Justin R. Saunders in 2006 as a digital mood board, JJJJound has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, embodying timelessness and inspiring creativity across various spheres. Now, in a collaboration that bridges continents and ideologies, JJJJound lends its discerning eye to reimagine the Adidas Samba, a silhouette steeped in history and streetwear legacy.
The essence of JJJJound’s aesthetic permeates the collection, with the Samba receiving a luxurious upgrade in premium leather. Available in two classic colorways – black with white stripes and white with black stripes – each pair embodies understated elegance with meticulous attention to detail. Co-branded sock liners and vintage-inspired hang tags add a touch of exclusivity, while the craftsmanship speaks volumes, echoing the dedication of the artisans at Adidas’ Scheinfeld factory in Germany.
Capturing the essence of collaboration, the launch campaign pays homage to the skilled hands behind the scenes. Through behind-the-scenes imagery and films, viewers gain insight into the meticulous process that brings each Samba to life, celebrating the fusion of tradition and innovation.
Set to release on March 27th, the inaugural drop from Adidas Originals by JJJJound marks a milestone in trainer culture. The black colorway will be exclusively available on JJJJound.com, while the white iteration will be offered on CONFIRMED and JJJJound.com.
In a world driven by trends and fleeting fashions, the Adidas Originals by JJJJound collaboration stands as a testament to enduring style and timeless craftsmanship, inviting sneaker enthusiasts to step into a legacy reimagined.
