adidas SPZL F.C. Fall/Winter 2025 Launch with Adam Wharton
adidas SPZL returns this season with the second instalment of its SPZL F.C. capsule for Fall/Winter 2025, once again under the guidance of Gary Aspden. Renowned for blending the heritage of the Three Stripes with modern sensibilities, Aspden continues to reinterpret football’s cultural legacy – bringing terrace style, performance wear, and lifestyle pieces into one cohesive story.

Fronting the campaign is Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, one of English football’s brightest young talents. Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, and a lifelong Blackburn Rovers supporter, Wharton embodies the journey at the heart of SPZL F.C. – a path that stretches from grassroots beginnings on local pitches to the global stage of the Premier League.
The connection between Wharton and Aspden runs deeper than football. Both share Lancashire roots and a devotion to Blackburn Rovers, making Wharton an ideal figurehead for the project. Their shared background underlines SPZL’s ethos: football is more than a sport, it is a community, an identity, and a cultural touchstone.

The Fall/Winter 2025 collection spans head-to-toe apparel, footwear, and accessories. A ripstop smock – an evolution of SPZL’s classic outerwear – arrives stamped with the SPZL F.C. crest. A cotton crew neck, paired with versatile plain weave trousers and a matching cap, reflects the brand’s balance of utility and style. The lifestyle offering is anchored by the Roelee SPZL F.C. trainer, a timeless silhouette revisited in fresh executions.
On the performance side, a true icon returns: the Copa Mundial SPZL F.C. boot. Updated with an elongated fold-over tongue, red studs, and signature SPZL branding, it bridges football’s performance heritage with Aspden’s curated vision. A co-branded football rounds off the collection, emphasising SPZL’s commitment to both the pitch and the stands.
“The supporters have a bigger impact than they maybe think. You know when they’re behind you, the momentum’s with you. It just gives you that extra little bit to make the tackle, block a shot, score a goal.”

The campaign itself takes a meditative approach, highlighting the rhythm, grit, and passion of grassroots football. Wharton reflects on the role of supporters, noting: “The supporters have a bigger impact than they maybe think. You know when they’re behind you, the momentum’s with you. It just gives you that extra little bit to make the tackle, block a shot, score a goal.”

SPZL F.C. Fall/Winter 2025 is a tribute to football’s enduring influence on culture. It captures the bond between fans and players, the continuity between local clubs and global icons, and the way the game shapes identity across generations.
