After all the expectation, it’s the agony and the ecstasy for fans and players alike as the long road to Wembley comes to a penalty shootout climax.
Wembley is awash in a sea of vivid blue and red as rival supporters flocked to the national stadium, bringing to an end Elliott’s epic nine month photographic journey of covering the tournament from start to finish, documented on his Instagram page The FA Cup Run.

It’s all there, as if frozen in time. The atmosphere, the excitement, the pre match build up, then the drama of the game itself.

Liverpool proved triumphant in a penalty decider. For the Reds, it’s riotous celebration. For the Blues, it’s the blues.
And for Elliott it’s a successful culmination of a season long mission that stretched all the way back to a mid summer’s day last August with the first stirrings of an FA Cup run.

The dream for supporters and players is the same: this year, maybe.
For Liverpool, the dream came true, and Duncan Elliott captured it all.
