A striking black-and-white photo series capturing Torquay United and its supporters over two decades – from the mid-1980s at Plainmoor through the club’s centenary season and promotion from Division Three.
Shot by lifelong fan and photographer Marcus Davies, the work documents the raw, rudimentary character of lower-league football: the beauty and simplicity of Plainmoor, the local community, and supporters young and old. The photographs capture the emotion of the terraces and the highs of promotion, with appearances from cult fan Helen Chamberlain and goalkeeper Neville Southall among the players and fans.
The zine includes a foreword by Dave Thomas, former chief sportswriter at the Herald Express. The images will resonate with any lifelong supporter – reflecting the passion, community, highs and lows that define football across the tiers.
A limited-edition A5 photo zine featuring more than 60 black-and-white photographs across 64 pages.
