ULTRAS Italia 2024–25 is a photographic documentary on Italy’s ultras – capturing their passion, spirit, and unwavering mentality. From Rome to Naples and every curve of the peninsula, photographer Imma Rhamely Borrelli steps inside one of football’s most mythic subcultures to reveal its raw human core.

Based in Torre Annunziata, near Naples, Borrelli has built her career on truth and emotional realism. Her lens seeks the pulse of lived experience – the gestures, rituals, and fleeting moments that define identity. In this series, she turns that eye toward the terraces, documenting the fierce pride and communal energy that bind these supporters together.

Spanning clubs, divisions, and regions across the 2024–25 season, the work unveils a visual language of resistance and devotion: flares, banners, voices, and faith. As Borrelli notes, “My journalistic eye is drawn to the details that define the rebels of the stadiums – a world of stubborn belonging shaped by rites, journeys, rivalries, smoke, and emotion.”
