On Thursday 3rd July at 7pm, join celebrated photojournalist John Ingledew at Iconic Images Gallery on the King’s Road for an evening of football, photography and fandom — reflecting on 25 years spent documenting Chelsea Football Club from the inside out.
In conversation with Matt Lidbury (*not a Chelsea fan) of Lower Block, Ingledew will share stories and images from his unique archive — spanning boardroom to bootroom, pitch to pub, and terraces to touchline.
A lifelong Chelsea supporter, Ingledew has spent decades chronicling the club’s evolution: its legendary players, unsung backroom figures, jubilant fans, and the moments of glory and heartbreak that have defined the modern era. With a sharp eye for character and context, his work captures not just the drama of the game, but the deep community and culture surrounding Chelsea FC in a changing London.
