Photographer and friend of Lower Block, Kate Schultze, captures Manchester at its most electric in her new self-published photo zine, Madferit – a visual study of Oasis’ homecoming shows at Heaton Park, July 2025.

Across 48 pages of A5 imagery, Schultze turns her lens to the finer details – the faces in the crowd, the signs that twist Oasis lyrics into local folklore, and the effortless style of a city that wears its music like a badge. Printed on FSC-certified paper, the zine reflects the authenticity of her work: sharp, unfiltered, grounded in truth.
With Cast and Richard Ashcroft setting the tone, 80,000 fans filled Heaton Park as the Gallagher brothers took the stage at 20:15, opening with Hello – the same way they began What’s The Story (Morning Glory)?.
This was more than a gig. It was a return, a reminder of what Manchester sounds and looks like when the band that defined a generation comes home.
Limited to 50 copies, priced at £10 / €12, Madferit is a love letter to the city, its people, and the enduring spirit of Oasis – seen through Kate Schultze’s unmistakable eye.
