Thousands of Manchester City fans flood streets to celebrate their historic 2022-23 treble success.
Manchester City’s 2022-23 season will be remembered as a historic and monumental achievement in football, as the club secured a remarkable treble, winning the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.
The journey began with their Premier League campaign, where City showcased remarkable consistency and dominance. Under the astute management of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City displayed a blend of tactical ingenuity and individual brilliance. Key players like Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, and Ilkay Gündogan played pivotal roles in their success. City clinched the Premier League title after a fierce competition with Arsenal, securing the top spot with a series of decisive victories in the closing stages of the season.
In the FA Cup, Manchester City’s path to glory was marked by a series of commanding performances. The final, held at Wembley Stadium, saw them face off against local rivals Manchester United. In a thrilling contest, City emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, thanks to a brace from Ilkay Gündogan. This victory was particularly significant as it not only secured another trophy but also added a layer of prestige by triumphing over their historic rivals – who themselves back in the 1998-99 season had won the same three trophies.
The crowning achievement of the season came in the UEFA Champions League. Manchester City’s European campaign culminated in a final against Inter Milan, held in Istanbul. The match was tightly contested, reflecting the high stakes and quality of both teams. City secured a 1-0 victory with a goal from Rodri, ensuring their first-ever Champions League title.

All of life was there – from babies up to old age, male and female fans. it was such a good representation, all coming together as one to celebrate City’s amazing achievement.” Richard Davis
