This week marks another milestone in football and fashion as adidas launches its first-ever signature boot for Spanish wunderkind, Lamine Yamal. The F50 LY304 collection celebrates an extraordinary year for the 17-year-old, who has risen to stardom in European football and been crowned UEFA’s Best Player Under 21.
The boot, designed in collaboration with Barcelona star Yamal, reflects his dynamic style both on and off the pitch. Featuring a striking pink colour – Yamal’s favourite – and gold accents showcasing the last three digits of his hometown postcode, “304,” the design pays homage to his Barcelona roots and personal journey.
“This year has been like a dream for me, and working with adidas on my first signature boot has been super cool. When they invited me to work with the designers and be part of creating it, I was so excited to see how it all comes together and to add my personal touch. Pink is one of my favourite colours and I’m a player who loves to bring flair to the pitch, so it was important to me that the boots stand out and of course, we made sure to represent the 304 in the best way. I can’t wait to wear them on the field.”
adidas celebrated the launch with a vibrant photoshoot showcasing Yamal in pink graduation robes, symbolising his achievements on and off the field. According to Sam Handy, General Manager of Football at adidas, “To have a signature adidas boot before turning 18 is a testament to Lamine’s phenomenal talent and global popularity.”
The F50 LY304 is built for speed and precision, featuring a FIBERTOUCH upper, PRIMEKNIT collar for a snug fit, and a SPRINTFRAME outsole for acceleration. With only 304 pairs available globally, the limited-edition boots are exclusively laceless and designed for firm ground pitches.
