adidas SPZL, the cult offshoot curated by Gary Aspden – a respected figure in football culture – continues to honour the brand’s deep connection to the terraces with the release of the new SPZL F.C. pack. This latest drop brings together three of adidas’ heritage clubs — Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Celtic — each reimagined through a shared lens of football identity, design authenticity, and terrace tradition.

The SPZL F.C. collection once again merges adidas’ football lineage with Aspden’s meticulous archival eye. Each club capsule offers a refined take on the Roelee SPZL silhouette, subtly tailored to reflect local pride – from Newcastle’s monochrome contrasts and Celtic’s layered greens to Aston Villa’s classic claret-and-blue.
Built in collaboration with adidas Football in Germany and approved by the clubs themselves, these designs go beyond colour and crest. They serve as wearable storytelling pieces – nods to matchday rituals, history, and community.
Following in the footsteps of previous SPZL releases for Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, and Aberdeen, this latest trio underscores why Aspden and adidas SPZL remain at the heart of modern terrace culture — where heritage and design still carry meaning.
The SPZL F.C. collection releases mid-October exclusively via each club’s official store.
