Opening December 19, 2025 at 2LAB in Catania, the exhibition 2LAB x Lower Block – NO FAIR PLAY presents three distinct but connected bodies of work: Boogie’s Napoli Ultras, Emiliano Zingale’s Catania Ultras, and a curated selection from Lower Block’s archival Editions documenting British football culture. Running until February 15, 2026, the exhibition brings these worlds together to explore identity, belonging and defiance within football’s wider cultural landscape.

The show highlights how Lower Block has become a recognised authority in preserving and curating the visual language of the game. Its commitment to authenticity and its ability to bridge eras and geographies form the backbone of this exhibition.
Catania’s own story is told through Emiliano Zingale, whose images of the local ultras provide a visceral, close-to-the-ground view of the city’s football culture. Lower Block has played an important role in bringing Emiliano’s photography to wider attention, placing the uniqueness of Catania’s scene firmly within the broader continuum of European fan traditions.
Completing the exhibition is a selection from Lower Block’s archival Editions, featuring work by John Ingledew, Tony Davis, Conrad Tracy, Richard Davis, Taff Manton, Steve Pyke, Bill Stephenson, Nic Salmon and Clive Lawrence. These photographs span decades of British terrace life, capturing everyday supporters, subcultures, fashion and the social realities that shaped football’s visual heritage in the UK.

Together, these three strands – Naples, Catania and Britain – create a unified portrait of football culture as something lived collectively, expressed publicly, and carried across generations.
NO FAIR PLAY positions football not as spectacle, but as a social identity – one defined by atmosphere, community and conviction.
